Three bus lanes open to cyclists
(12/06/2008)As part of putting the bicycle concept in place, the City of Luxembourg has recently opened to cyclists the new bus lane on Route d’Esch, going from Rue de Gasperich to Hollerich as well as the new counter-flow bus lanes respectively in Avenue Monterey between Bd Joseph II and Bd Gr.-D. Charlotte and in Bd Gr.-D.
Charlotte between Avenue Monterey and Avenue Gaston Diderich. The later evaluation of this regulation will enable useful information to be obtained about buses and bicycles sharing a reserved lane.
The use of the three bus lanes by cyclists is a pilot project. Access to other bus lanes is still prohibited for bicycle users.
